Dietitians and nutritionists play a very important role in the multidisciplinary care of patients on Juxtapid. Patients taking Juxtapid should adhere to a low-fat diet containing less than 20% of energy from fat to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal adverse events associated with Juxtapid. We call it the JuxRight Nutritional Plan. Although it’s straightforward, it might feel intimidating to a patient, and that's where you can help. 

Dietitians and nutritionists can work with you or directly with individual patients on translating what and how the patient likes to eat with what he or she now can eat in order to adhere to the recommended diet. Helping patients shift how they think about eating and cooking can be the hardest part, and we’re here to help. We offer a number of truly helpful tools, including pocket guides and interactive resources that make sticking with the diet easier.
